ABOUT CHARLIE
Working in comedy
Charlie's history involves working in close connection with the comedy circuit. Having collected a few award nominations / wins along the way, Charlie moved into working with BBC comedy as a Writer/Director. His most popular sketch, Dave the Bouncer, collected just shy of 7million views. With his other sketches average in the 10s/100s of thousands. Charlie has also taken the comedy scene into commercial work. Having worked closely with a multitude of brands and organisations in flipping their marketing campaigns into success stories by adding risk-assessed comedy into their plan.

Film-Director
Charlie's passion is to be recognised as a Film Writer/Director in both Comedy and Genre filmmaking. Due to the fierce nature that a saturated market brings, he turned to indie production, alongside his co-directing partner Jack Fox, the pair have managed to create a line of successful short films and recently venturing into a micro-feature Chaos Rising. Which has garnered 300k+ views on Youtube. Which for an entire film, is no easy task on the platform. The film has put them on the map as competent filmmakers as well as a Director force to be reckoned with. Charlie's work in this field will continue.
Running a Production Company
Charlie's history involved running a production company which specialised in bringing branded content to life through the art of comedy. Specialising in short-form comedy sketches that would turn a brand image into something special. Bringing in 10s of thousands of views to resepective clients.
ACCOLADES
Scottish Comedy Awards
Twice nominated for the Scottish Comedy award as part of an ensemble group, Charlie's team picked up the win for the online comedy sitcom "M.U.F.F" which he co-created along comedians Daniel Sloss and Tom Stade.
The second nomination was awarded to the viral "Bross Bagels" advertising campaign.
Working with A-Listers
- Charlie fronted the in-house video team for the event "The World's Big Sleepout" in 2019, working alongside talents such as Will Smith and Dame Helen Mirren.
- In 2016 Charlie had the honour of being invited onto set by Danny Boyle to shadow him and Anthony Dod-Mantle on Trainspotting 2.
- Off the back of his documentary featuring local legend and T2 star, Bradley Welsh, the author of Trainspotting Irvine Welsh (no relation) wrote a personal review on the documentary holding it in very high esteem.

Independent Successes
- Charlie is the Co-Director of the indie-success action fantasy film called CHAOS RISING, which became a cult hit on Youtube with fans of the Warhammer world. The film amassed over a quarter of a million views on Youtube with overwhelmingly positive response.
- Charlie established a popular web series Media Mashups along-side co-director, Jack fox. It has been featured around the internet both independently and through platforms such as Unilad, Lad Bible, Rolling Stone, BBC the Social and more. It has amassed over 30k fans across social media.
- Charlie co-created the online sitcom "M.U.F.F" which shook up the comedy circuit at the time of it's release. A sitcom which parodied a TV commissioner board, taking on the themes that currently face the networks today. The sitcom was produced independently despite it's star-studded cast as a sense of duty to release something unfiltered and untampered.
- Charlie Produced a number of series during the Edinburgh Fringe which involved writing and creating mini comedy sketches with featured celebrity comedians, to boost awareness for their shows that year as well as entertain audiences on Youtube.

Education
In 2014, shortly after graduation from Edinburgh Napier University, Charlie featured as a speaker in his own TEDx talk "What should I do with my life" which has amassed 2+ million views since.
